Murphy on My Mom's Mind

Murphy's been on my mom's mind a bunch for some reason. It started right before her stroke on Tuesday morning when she kept saying she followed him, he led her to the wrong room, and she was never following him again.

Too Many Dead Baby Birds

I was out walking my two dogs this afternoon... and saw a weird lump on the sidewalk. As we got closer, my eyes and brain puzzled the lump into a shape. It was a dead baby bird. A few feet away, there was another sad little lump that turned out to be a baby bird.

Murphy Meets the Paramedics

Yesterday my mom's health took a scary turn. She was extremely confused when she woke up. She was holding the clothes she'd been wearing the day before but saying she'd lost her clothes. Explaining she was holding her clothes only made her contemplate the bundle with confusion.

Diary of a Cat Care B&B: Sleeping Like the Dead

Is your pet a deep sleeper? My two dogs tend to be pretty light sleepers. (The exception being when either dog is dreaming and "running" at the same time. That seems to be the deepest sleep for them.

Why the Dogs and I Hate Tuesdays

Over the last year, Tuesday has become my least favorite day of the week. You can try to guess why, but I don't think you'll get it. It's not because of what's on TV or what my schedule is like. It's because Tuesday is landscaping day at the apartment complex where I live.

Purina's Precautionary Pet Food Recall Affects Horses, Goats, Pigs

Right now I'm watching the evening news while working on my new laptop and saw that pet owners have another pet food recall to worry about. This time Purina is doing a precautionary recall because of concerns some of their food has been contaminated or exposed to aflatoxin.
