by Courtney Mroch

11 Sep 2008 10:19 AM

Over in Marriage I wrote about what I think about on September 11 as it pertains to love and relationships. But another loving relationship I think about today is the one so many of us have with our animals. Last year I wrote about the pets of 9/11.

Greatest American Dog: The Personality Episode

by Courtney Mroch

05 Aug 2008 03:27 PM

Over the weekend I had the chance to get caught up on "Greatest American Dog" episodes I missed. Which was only last week's show, the personality episode. Take It or Leave It The first challenge tested how well the dog owner knew his or her dog.

The Greatest American Dog: The Elvis Episode

There was a new episode of "Greatest American Dog" last night, but thanks to my volleyball schedule, I'm a bit behind watching my DVR recordings. I just finished watching the episode from the week before.

by Aimee Amodio

When I'm at work at the cats-only boarding facility, I often keep up a running chat with the guests. If they meow, I meow back. If somebody hisses, I'll imitate it. (We have one guest who is missing a few bottom teeth, so when he hisses, his tongue sticks out the side.

Judge me as you may, but I'll confess: I'm nuts for reality TV. Not all reality TV shows, mind you. Some are even too dumb for me.

The Search for the Greatest American Dog

by Courtney Mroch

23 May 2008 10:31 PM

The other night I saw a preview for a new show that'll premier on CBS this summer called "The Greatest American Dog." From what I can tell it's an American Idol-like contest for dogs. Except not geared so much to their singing talent as their brain ability.

by Courtney Mroch

Last year I was pretty good about tracking the different animal/pet related holidays and observances with articles like Appreciating Elephants (in honor of Elephant Appreciation Day), Have You Hugged Your Sea-Monkeys Today?

Are You Spending More on Your Pets than on Yourself?

by Aimee Amodio

22 Apr 2008 05:49 PM

I went to Costco the other day and came home with thirty dollars worth of stuff for the dogs and only ten dollars worth of stuff for me. Okay, I did specifically go to Costco in order to stock up on food and treats for the dogs. But it did make me stop and take a look at my spending habits.
