Recent Pets Blog | Personal Pet Stories PostsWhat is it about Moose and Summer?by Aimee Amodio09 Jun 2009 09:35 AMOh yes, it's time for another thrilling installment of How My Dog Moose Tried to Scare Me to Death. A quick recap: in June of 2007, Moose slipped his collar and got hit by a car. He broke his tail very close to the base of his spine, and had to have the whole thing removed. Introducing the New Members of the Householdby Aimee Amodio07 Jan 2009 01:43 PMA while back, I mentioned that I would be moving soon. Same complex, just a bigger apartment because I'm joining forces with some roommates. Those roommates have cats. We talked a lot about how to introduce my dogs, Moose and Lally, to their cats. Cast Off Day!by Courtney Mroch13 Nov 2008 08:11 PMWe woke to much anticipation and excitement in our house this morning. After eight weeks, today Murph was set to get his cast off. I woke up early so I could get him to the surgeon's office a little after 7:30 a.m. But before we left, I lay on the floor with him and petted his belly. Coming Back to Hurt Pets After Vacationby Courtney Mroch31 Aug 2008 05:54 PMWhen Wayne and I went on our vacation to Alaska, we boarded Murphy in a "pet resort. Missing Grandma Dorothyby Courtney Mroch29 Jul 2008 04:03 PMWhen my mom first came to live with us, I don't think Murphy, Mr. Meow or Tabby knew what to make of it all. It got me thinking about my dogs, and the work they do for me. Moose is Chief Executive in Charge of Cuddling and Lally is my Morale Officer with her squeaky ball antics. I'm So Proud of Lally Today!by Aimee Amodio09 Jul 2008 12:58 PMI'm especially proud of my boxer mix Lally today. We were out for a walk and she let three little girls pet her. Why is this a big deal? Lally isn't as easygoing as my other dog Moose is. Moose loves everybody. The End of the Personal Pet Therapy Projectby Courtney Mroch08 Jul 2008 04:46 PMIt's with a heavy heart that my first blog back after a lengthy absence is to report that the Personal Pet Therapy Project came to an end on Thursday, July 3 when my mom (a.k.a. Grandma Dorothy to Murphy, Mr. Meow, and Tabby) passed away. The Dogs at the Partyby Aimee Amodio05 Jul 2008 09:49 AMIf you caught yesterday's blog about fireworks, you may remember that Moose and Lally were invited to attend a barbeque with me. I wasn't sure if I should bring them, but in the end, since I was going to be out of the house for more than eight hours, I let the pups tag along. Let the Fireworks Begin!by Aimee Amodio04 Jul 2008 09:39 AMLast night around nine o'clock, somebody started in with the fireworks. I live across the street from the local high school and middle school, and there's lots of open space available between the sports fields and parking lots. Recent Blog Comments dallasfire says... "You might want to start with the three suggestions above: 1) Make sure it isn't a physical problem, like a bladder infection. 2) Make sure your dogs are getting plenty of quality time with the humans. 3) Try a pheromone spray -- they can be comforting and calming." |
