The Pets Blog Week in Review for Apr 9-15

This week guest blogger Heather Long (whose regular blogs you may have read in Marriage and Fitness) joined Aimee and myself here in the Pets Blog. We covered a lot, so without further ado, here’s what we covered on: Monday, April 9 Unfortunately, I reported the tragedy of the Jacksonville Humane Society burning to the ground after a friend back in Jacksonville emailed to tell me about it. Dividing Pills For Pets

There are many medicines for humans that can (with your veterinarian’s approval) be given to your dog or cat. However, the doses we humans take are often times WAY bigger than your pet needs. The comments on the article (and on the episode) were a different story. More than one person … Continue reading

She does this from time to time; I figure she’s got an itch on her paw pad or between her toes and the best way to take care of it is with her teeth. Over the last few days, she’s been really attacking her feet. She’s been chewing and licking them relentlessly, which makes me thing she’s having some allergy trouble. Lally has had problems with allergies in the past — she’s sensitive to plastic, and can’t eat from a … Continue reading
