Halloween Costumes for Catsby Courtney Mroch | More from this Blogger 15 Oct 2008 10:13 AM
Halloween costumes for cats? Really? Unless my two were sedated (heavily I might add) there's no way they'd let me dress them up. Especially not in most of the costumes I've seen which all seem to include head gear as part of the getup. But if your cats would let you put hats on their heads, maybe some of the costumes I've listed below would suit your cat's Halloween costume needs. They're in no particular order, and include pricing and the store name where you can find them.
Pictures of Cats in Costumes i-pets.com, an Internet pet supplies store, offers suggestions for homemade cat costumes. They also have a page with photos of cats in Halloween garb from Halloween's past. (2006, 2007, and a couple of photos already posted for 2008.) To check the photos out, click here. Relevantpets tags User Comments deedee1231 (4030) 15 Oct 2008 09:28 PMMy stepdad bought a reindeer costume for my mom's cat and puts it on him every Christmas. It has a part that goes on his head with a jingle bell that hangs down in front of his face. Mr. Jones (the cat) does NOT like it. He bats at that jingle bell and growls --yes, he growls--at it while my stepdad takes video. He thinks it is real funny. Then my mom gets mad and takes the stupid thing off his head and babys him and gives him a treat. I am going to go ahead and post this, even though it makes us sound slightly dysfunctional, LOL. Just know that my stepdad is a good guy, he just has a questionable sense of humor! Courtney Mroch (9169) 16 Oct 2008 06:47 AMThanks for bravely posting, DeeDee1231. It provoked a good chuckle. And don't feel bad or dysfunctional. I have had my DH put rubber bands around Mr. Meow's paw (not tight, just put his paw through without wrapping it or anything to keep it on) to watch Mr. Meow shake it off in frustration and annoyance. He also has put tape on his paws to watch how it drives the cat crazy. (And he wonders why Mr. Meow's his nemesis???) Anyway...then I do like your mom. Baby and coo to him and fill his bowl with Pounces to try to make up for his dad's misbehavior. Michele Cheplic |
