Over in Marriage I wrote about what I think about on September 11 as it pertains to love and relationships. Marriage Blogger Desperately Seeking Solace

Over in Pets I wrote about how Murphy met the paramedics yesterday when my mom suffered a stroke during breakfast and I had to call 911. I spent all morning in the ER until they admitted my mom to the hospital, and then I stuck around until they got her situated in a room. Except for when I left for two hours from 4:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to finally get some food (I hadn’t eaten all day) and to feed the fur kids and walk Murph, I was in the hospital from nine to nine. Frightening 911 Tiger Call

When I wrote A Terrible Month for Tigers at the end of last month I really didn’t know what to make of the tiger escaping from its enclosure at the San Francisco Zoo. I hated to think the zoo was at fault, and was inclined to believe they weren’t. I mean, zoos go to a lot of trouble to make sure those enclosures are safe. The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 impacted every facet of life imaginable. From people on the planes and those in the buildings that were hit to the rescue workers and all the friends and family members that were ultimately and irreversibly affected. Couple Loses Homeowners Insurance Because of Dogs

A couple in New York has lost their homeowners insurance policy because the insurance company thinks that the couple’s dogs are too much of a liability. The dogs are German Shepherds that are search and rescue dogs. It is unknown why the insurer considers service dogs to be a liability. Years ago, a couple in New York got approved for a homeowners insurance policy from an insurance company called New York Central Mutual Fire Insurance.
